The Kürti group focuses on the develpment of powerful new methods for the expedient enantioselective assembly of highly functionalized heterocycles and carbocycles. We are especially interested in applying our newly discovered reactions for the preparation of architecurally complex bioactive natural products and their derivatives.

At UT Southwestern Medical Center the opportunities for collaboration are plentiful and as a result we will work extensively with our colleagues to identify new lead molecules that have the potential to become drugs for the treatment of a variety of major as well as neglected diseases.
